Terms of service

1. What Fiat Swap is

Fiat Swap ("Fiat Swap," "we," "us") is a comparison service. We fetch live buy and cash-out quotes from independent, third-party providers, normalize them so they can be compared fairly, and show you the results. If you choose to proceed, we hand you off to that provider's own checkout, hosted and operated by them.

2. What Fiat Swap is not

Fiat Swap is not a money transmitter, currency exchange, broker-dealer, custodian, or payment processor. We do not hold, custody, or take possession of your cryptocurrency or your fiat money at any point. We do not execute, settle, or otherwise perform the crypto-to-fiat or fiat-to-crypto conversion ourselves. We are not a party to the purchase or sale contract you enter into with the provider you choose. We do not perform identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) screening, or sanctions checks — that is performed entirely by the provider under their own regulatory authorizations (see our AML & KYC statement and sanctions policy). Nothing on this site is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and quoted rates are not a recommendation to transact.

3. How a transaction actually happens

At no point in this flow does your crypto, your bank details, your wallet address, or your identity documents pass through Fiat Swap's servers on their way to the provider — you submit them directly to the provider inside their own checkout.

4. Quotes are estimates, not offers

A quote shown on Fiat Swap reflects pricing the provider returned at that moment. Rates move continuously, and the amount you actually receive is whatever the provider confirms at the time you complete the transaction with them — not necessarily the figure you saw on our site. Minimum and maximum transaction amounts, supported assets, networks, countries, and payout methods vary by provider and can change without notice; we only display a provider once it confirms it can service your specific request.

5. Third-party providers

Every transaction you complete through Fiat Swap is executed by an independent, regulated third party — currently MoonPay or Transak. Once you leave our comparison flow to transact, your relationship is with that provider directly, and their terms govern the transaction, not ours:

See our providers for more on how each one is used.

6. No liability for provider actions

We are not responsible for a provider's availability, fees, processing times, exchange-rate movements, KYC/AML decisions, account restrictions, or failure to complete a transaction. Any dispute about a completed or attempted transaction is between you and the provider you chose, under that provider's own terms and complaint process.

7. Fees and commercial disclosure

Fiat Swap does not charge you a separate fee to use the comparison tool. Any fee you pay is the provider's own fee, already reflected in the quote shown. We may receive a referral commission from a provider when you complete a buy or cash-out through them, once formal partnership agreements are in place; no such agreement currently exists with either provider. Any future commission arrangement will never change which quote we rank highest — ranking is based solely on your net payout when selling, or the crypto you receive when buying.

8. Eligibility

You must meet the age, residency, and any other eligibility requirements of the provider you choose to transact with — those requirements are set and enforced by the provider, not by us. See our sanctions policy for jurisdictions our providers do not serve.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops.
