Privacy policy

Scope of this policy

This policy covers only fiatswap.io — the comparison tool itself. It does not cover the checkout you complete with MoonPay or Transak, which is governed by that provider's own privacy policy (linked below). We recommend reading the relevant provider's policy before you proceed with them.

What we collect

No account or sign-up is required to compare quotes. We do not collect your crypto wallet address, bank details, or identity documents on this site — those are entered directly into the provider's own checkout once you proceed, under their privacy policy, not ours. To operate the comparison tool itself, we process:

• The country, currency, asset, network, payout method, and amount you enter, solely to request and display quotes.
• Basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and request logs) for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent, given via the cookie banner, we record anonymized usage events (such as which step of the comparison flow you reached) to understand how the product is used. Nothing is tracked until you accept, and you can decline or withdraw consent at any time. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.

How we use and share data

We use the data above only to operate, secure, and improve the comparison tool. We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with MoonPay or Transak on your behalf — when you click through to a provider, you interact with them directly and provide whatever information they require themselves. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the security of the service.

Data retention

Technical and security logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized. Analytics events collected with your consent are retained for a limited period to support product improvement.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Since we collect very little personal data by design, most requests relating to a specific transaction (KYC documents, bank details, transaction history) should be directed to the provider you transacted with, using the contact details in their own privacy policy.

Third-party providers

When you choose to proceed with MoonPay or Transak, you leave our comparison flow and interact directly with that provider inside their own checkout. Their collection and handling of your personal data — including identity verification, payment details, and transaction records — is governed entirely by their own privacy policy, not this one:

Children's privacy

Fiat Swap is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone below the minimum age required by the providers to transact.
